It is true that Palestinian hot-heads do, from time to time, attack Israelis, both civilian and military and such attacks are to be condemned. What is not clear to the impartial observer is the exact mechanism by which confining the entire Arab population behind a wall, separating them from family, friends and jobs, will lead to fewer hot-heads and fewer attacks. Poverty and desperation are not usually consider precursors to satisfaction with life and feelings of goodwill towards the oppressors.

And, of course, there is the consideration that a wall has two sides and in the case of this wall, it is not entirely clear which side houses the ghetto ...
