The Citadel of Cairo

Towering above the old city of Cairo is the citadel, a tremendous fortress built by Saladin and as evotic as the Tower of London in the history contained within its walls. In this film we see some of the attractions of the place and tell some of its stories.

The crusaders who dug a well in solid rock, the mameluke who survived a massacre by jumping a wall, the clock exchanged for an obelisk - it's all in here.
