Lichfield is a charming city and crammed with lots of interesting things. We start off with a visit to the home of one of its more famous inhabitants - Dr Erasmus Darwin, then continue with a man who was extremely unlucky.
Next we discover a few facts about a harmless drudge and finally we get right up to date with an ancient angel.
Do turn off the motorway and visit Lichfield. The surrounding countryside is remarkably beautiful, considering that it is in the heart of the Midlands, and the city itself is charming and the people most friendly. I'm certainly looking forward to a return visit.
