Damascus

Damascus, the capital city of Syria, is no longer the earthly paradise that Mohammed refused to enter, saying that a man can only enter paradise once. It has long since outgrown the original oasis and its suburbs now extend out into the dry and dusty desert that surrounds the city.

One of the attractions of the place is the National Museum, which contains treasures from all periods, clearly labelled in English (for the most part) and our first film visits this fascinating place.

Then we go to the place every pilgrim to Damascus (and most of the tourists as well) visits - the street associated with the apostle Paul.
