Excavation at Tel Mareshah

The annual Diggings Tour ends with an optional week excavating, usually at our site of Tel Mareshah, near Beit Govrin. In 2001 we discovered - well, watch the film and find out; we were quite excited about it!

However archaeology, particularly in the Holy Land, raises a difficult question of chronology, and in our second film David Down discusses a solution which is gaining increasing acceptance - at least among those who have worked with the evidence. Dr Rudolph Cohen, who is mentioned in this film, is a keen proponent of a new look at the Exodus.

In the third film David Down uses his experiences on the tel of Maresha to illustrate three of Jesus' parables - the three "losts": lost sheep, lost coin and lost boy.
