Seven Churches

	Like the church at Sardis, the Christian churches were tiny compared to the heathen temples

The Apostle John wrote messages to seven churches in the Roman province of Asia, thereby conferring a sort of immortality on the seven cities in which those churches were located. This makes them a popular place for tourists and pilgrims alike.
