Worcestershire

Worcestershire is a lovely part of the country - the River Severn loops lazily between green meadows, orchards overhang clear streams and gentle rolling countryside abounds with half-timbered buildings. The county city has a wonderful cathedral crammed with architectural and historical treasures.

Alas, our first film deals with what was a blot on the landscape and is still nothing to write home about. The second, however, takes you out into a countryside that is so beautiful it made one young man very homesick indeed, while the third takes you to the county town, the city of Worcester.

The fourth film is about one of the important battles of English history, a battle which ended in defeat and death for a rebel whose cause was to triumph in a way that even he could not have imagined.

Then we take you to a magnificent ruin adorned with a most unusual cherub.
