Pilgrim Fathers they once persecuted.

Here is one for our American friends, for the Pilgrim Fathers made their first attempt to leave England via this port town. Surprisingly, it is also one for the Australians - but you'll have to watch the film to find out why!

We wish to express thanks to the staff at St Botolph's for permission to film in the church.

The second film is about a place called Fishtoft, five miles outside Boston. It is a tiny little village on the edge of nowhere, but three hundred years ago it probably wasn't even that much - which was just what was needed if you intended to smuggle some illegal immigrants out of England and into Holland.

This is one of our legacy films, dating from the days when we optimsed everything for a 28k modem! The resolution is awful, but I've retained the film because of its interesting subject. Don't even think about viewing it full screen!
