Lincolnshire is usually thought of as flat - and certainly that is true of the part that we visit in this film. Boston, after which the American city is named, is set in a wide plain that shades gradually into the Wash, and the famous Boston Stump, the tower of the parish church of St Botolph, can be seen for miles.
