Gloucestershire (by the way, I am not sure that there is such a place any more since the government reorganisted things) is a relatively flat but attractive part of the country. Protected by the Severn from the worst ravages of the adjacent Welsh, isolated by its distance from London and the sea, the county has none of the striking history of other parts of England, but that doesn't mean that it lacks interest or is not worth a visit.

As, I hope, our films from the county capital will demonstrate.
