Actually, I was surprised to find Llancarfan. I had looked for it on the map and failed to find it, but as I drove down to Llanilltud Fawr I happened to spot a sign pointing off to it - and after several miles of very narrow lanes I plunged through a ford and there it was. Well worth the visit, however.
