| Stormy waves lash Prestatyn prom in 2019 | ||
On a fine summer's day the golden sands of Prestatyn beach stretch out to wherever the tide has gone that particular day, providing a wonderful playground for children while their parents and older family members relax, try for a sun tan or suck on expensive icecreams purchased from the van on the prom.
That promenade stands a good twenty feet above the beach and is backed by a stout sea wall. On a mild summer's day you might wonder at the precautions taken, but when you see high tide when the wind is on-shore at storm force, those precautions seem none too excessive!
In this film I combine some opening shots of summer 2020 with a stormy day in the previous winter - 2019. Personally I find the crashing waves and roaring wind exhilerating, but I am still very thankful for the sea wall that stands between them and my home.
