Filmed some years ago, this shows a single run down an unofficial cycle track created by a group of lads from Liverpool. They simply mapped out a route, added a single "bridge" of palettes and boards, and then created the path by riding it. Repeatedly.
I understand that the sourpusses of the Forestry Department have now felled trees across the path in a deliberate act of sabotage. Apparently it is intolerable that anyone should actually enjoy themselves in the forest.
I imagine, though, that in a little while the lads from Liverpool will be back creating a new run - which, no doubt, the Forestry Commission will fell trees to block. Eventually, of course, all the trees in the forest will be cut down and then, at last, the miserable gits in the Forestry will be happy. Trees? Who wants 'em?
