Falkirk is a fairly uninspiring post-industrial town, but the area, at the head of the Firth of Forth, contains several interesting places. Perhaps the most famous at the present is the "Falkirk Wheel", an ingenious method of raising and lowering canal boats. Our first film, however, concerns something two thousand years older.
