Haverhill is a relatively new town, founded in the early Industrial Revolution to provide workers for a nearby cloth mill. However it does contain one ancient building, a lovely half-timbered house built by Henry VIII for Anne of Cleves - and no, Anne was neither his mistress nor his lover nor even his wife.
