Rowton and Richard Baxter

An unassuming monument to a great man

I happened to mention to a friend that I had made a film about Richard Baxter in Kidderminster and the friend, who is a keen cyclist, said that he had stumbled across Baxter's birthplace while out riding. A few weeks later the friend took me to this charming little hamlet out in the middle of nowhere - well, the middle of Shropshire, actually - where there is a memorial to the great man.

The film isn't terribly significant, but if you want some scenes of a lovely English village, here they are, and perhaps they will be as serendipitous for you as they were for me.
