I'll bet you don't know what "clipping" a church means. I didn't either until I visited the little village of Edgmond, not from from Shrewsbury. Apparently it is a ceremony based on Anglo-Saxon practice, but revived back in the 1800s - and the rector is very proud of the fact that no other church in England has the ceremony (or at least, not in this precise way).
