Bishop's Castle is a lovely little town way off the beaten track on the western edge of Shropshire. The countryside is green and rolling and the town is crammed with quaint buildings - and none quainter than the Crutch House Museum.

As museums go, it is not a bad little museum and certainly worth twenty minutes of anyone's time. We really enjoyed wandering around it and chatting to the knowledgable ladies who staffed it.

Don't forget to drop a goodly donation into the collecting box as you leave, for this museum depends on volunteers and donations to keep running.
