Lancashire is part of Britain's industrial heartland and as such is made up of decaying, once-great towns whose abandoned cotton mills and iron foundries stand gaunt against the skyline. However there are also areas of great natural beauty, often linked to historical interest, and our first film takes us to one of these.
The second film deals with the world's first railway accident while the third deals with a modern accident black spot.
The "More info" option offers not a book but a CD-ROM containing aerial views of the county. Unlike most such offerings, the price appears to be quite reasonable.
