As well as its famous harbour, Sydney also has some splendid beaches, whose surf is almost as good as that in Hawaii. It is difficult to know which is the better - Bondi Beach or Manly Beach. However Manly lies at the end of an enjoyable ferry ride, so it was to Manly that I went recently, to evoke memories of past visits and recall the one job that I really, really wanted when I was young!
