Everyone wants to be happy, but the big question is, "What makes us happy?"
The usual answers are health, wealth and lots and lots of sex. The trouble is that while you may be unhappy if you lack those things, having them is no guarantee of happiness - count the broken marriages of the wealthy if you doubt me!
So what guarantees happiness? The answer, odd as it may seem, is a list of miseries: hunger, persecution and lots and lots of meekness.
