This is, of course, a work of fiction. It should, I hope, become obvious very quickly who the hero is and who is "the Boss", of whom he goes in considerable awe. The only merit in this tale is that I don't think anyone has told this familiar story from this particular viewpoint before. On that basis alone, therefore, I recommend it to you and hope that you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
The story does have a serious purpose, which is to stimulate the reader's thinking - and if it does that, then I am amply rewarded.
